GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FORMS OF PARLIAMENTARY CONTROL

Abstract

Parliamentary control in the Republic of Uzbekistan is one of the key constitutional and legal mechanisms for ensuring legality, accountability, and the effective functioning of the system of state power. The effectiveness of parliamentary control largely depends on the degree of legal regulation of specific control procedures and the practice of their implementation. In this regard, the study of the legal nature and significance of the forms of parliamentary control is of considerable academic interest, since the forms of control enshrined in legislation, while ensuring institutional balance among the branches of power, contribute not only to the identification of violations of the law but also to their prevention, as well as to the formation of responsible public authority. The article examines issues related to the concept of the forms of parliamentary control and the peculiarities of their legal regulation. It substantiates the position that the forms of parliamentary control constitute a normatively established set of methods and procedures for the exercise of control powers by the Oliy Majlis and its chambers with regard to the activities of executive authorities and other state bodies. It is emphasized that these forms are characterized by legal certainty, procedural regulation, and the binding nature of their legal consequences.
