This article analyzes international scientific literature on the planning and monitoring of taekwondo training. It was revealed that scientists pay great attention to improving technical training methods, since technical and tactical qualities are one of the main components of martial arts training. Monitoring performance, including changes in body composition, is also essential. Specific tests are being developed to quickly identify changes in athletes' general and specific fitness. Additional components, such as relaxation, are often introduced into the training process to enhance its effectiveness.
