This thesis analyzes the didactic possibilities of modern pedagogical approaches in the process of forming professional competence. The study highlights the role and importance of competency-based, person-oriented, systematic, integrative and innovative approaches in the educational process. Professional competence is based on an integral unity of a person's professional knowledge, practical skills and qualifications, professional thinking, motivation and reflexive activity. It is scientifically substantiated that the purposeful and systematic use of modern pedagogical approaches serves to improve the content, methods and forms of education, ensure the harmony of theory and practice, and increase the effectiveness of education.
