This thesis analyzes the compatibility between modern pedagogical approaches and the traditional apprenticeship system on a scientific basis. In the course of the research, the theoretical and practical aspects of the competency-based approach, the historical and cultural context of the apprenticeship system, and their integration into the pedagogical process were studied. The thesis shows how the principles of the apprenticeship system, an individual approach, knowledge transfer as a legacy, and leadership can be used in the formation of competencies. At the same time, the scientific, methodological, and practical significance of creating synergy between modern educational methods and the traditional apprenticeship system is analyzed.
