Abstract

This article scientifically analyzes the amendments and additions to be introduced to Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Provision of Legal Aid at the Expense of the State." The research justifies the necessity of expanding access to legal aid for victims of violence, labor migrants, orphans, prisoners, and the elderly. The article comparatively studies the experiences of developed countries such as Spain, France, and South Korea, as well as the standards of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and the UN. The author proposes legal mechanisms for protecting socially vulnerable groups without bureaucratic barriers and providing legal support to non-governmental non-profit organizations.
