THE ESSENCE AND INTERPRETATION OF PRECEDENT NAMES IN LINGUISTICS

This article analyzes the essence of precedent units and precedent names in linguistics, their linguoculturological and linguopoetic characteristics. The study covers the theoretical foundations of precedent units based on the scientific views of Yu.N. Karaulov, D.B. Gudkov, D. Khudoyberganova and N. Ahmadjonov. The role of precedent names in the onomastic system, their role in expressing national-cultural information, and the associative and connotative meanings they evoke in literary texts were also studied. The results of the study show that precedent names are an important linguistic and cultural unit that reflects national culture, historical memory, and artistic thinking.
