PEDAGOGICAL FOUNDATIONS AND INTEGRATIVE TECHNOLOGIES OF THE STEAM APPROACH IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

This article analyzes the history of the STEAM methodology, the pedagogical foundations of the STEAM approach in teaching English, and the possibilities of its implementation through integrative technologies. The study highlights the importance of the STEAM approach in the educational process, as well as its role in developing students’ independent thinking, research skills, teamwork, and oral communication activity. In addition, the paper examines modern approaches and interactive methods that ensure interdisciplinary integration in English language classes. The research findings indicate that English lessons organized on the basis of the STEAM approach increase students’ motivation to learn the language and strengthen their practical knowledge and skills. At the end of the article, methodological recommendations for the effective implementation of the STEAM approach in teaching English are proposed. This research is dedicated to the problem of systematically developing students' independent research and creative approaches in English classes to prepare competitive personnel in the era of globalization, creating a solid theoretical and methodical foundation for future pedagogical practices.
