DEVELOPMENT OF MODAL COMPETENCE IN FUTURE DOCTORS BASED ON CASE-BASED LEARNING

This thesis analyzes the didactic possibilities of the case-based learning (CBL) method in developing the competence of future doctors to use modal units in the English language in the process of professional communication. The functional properties of modal units in clinical communication are highlighted, and the advantages of teaching them based on real clinical situations are considered. The compatibility of the CBL approach with linguodidactic and linguocognitive principles is also substantiated.
