This article provides a systematic analysis of thermodynamic laws, which are the fundamental basis of electrochemical processes. The mechanisms of conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy in galvanic cells are studied based on the relationship between Gibbs free energy (ΔG) and electromotive force (EMF). Also, the influence of temperature and concentration on the course of processes in equilibrium electrochemical systems is analyzed using the Nernst equation, and its importance in modeling practical processes is demonstrated.
