This article examines the role of forensic linguistics as an interdisciplinary field and explores the potential of linguistic analysis in legal investigations and forensic linguistic examinations. It presents a comparative analysis of the significance of phonological, lexical, syntactic, idiomatic, and stylistic units in English and Uzbek regarding authorship identification, text authenticity verification, and linguistic profiling. The research findings indicate that these units can serve as important sources of evidence in forensic stylistics and forensic linguistic expertise.
