Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of the linguvopragmatic features of the translation of animated films in English, Russian and Uzbek. The study examined how pragmatic units such as humor, wordplay, realism, irony, metaphor and character-specific speech are translated in the three languages. The impact of multimodal factors specific to audiovisual translation - visual image, intonation, movement and emotional signal - on the translation process was also considered. The results showed that pragmatic equivalence was preserved to a high degree in the English-Russian translation, while the Uzbek translation was dominated by the strategies of cultural adaptation, simplification and functional equivalence. The greatest losses were recorded in the translation of puns and realisms, while irony and multimodal humor underwent various transformations across languages. The study showed that ensuring linguopragmatic equivalence in the translation of animated films is a multifactorial process, requiring the translator's cultural and multimodal competence.
