This article analyzes the development and application of a diagnostic model for assessing the speech skills of primary school students. The development of speech skills is a crucial factor determining a child's success in the overall educational process, making effective diagnostic tools essential for identifying and enhancing these skills. The article provides a detailed description of the structure of the diagnostic model, assessment criteria, and methodological and practical aspects. In addition, the effectiveness of the model in evaluating students' speech skills and its application in the educational process are discussed.
